Moondrop is the audio division of Chengdu Shuiyueyu Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese company founded in 2015. Originally launched with a focus on DIY and enthusiast-grade in-ear monitors, Moondrop has grown into one of the most prominent names in high-fidelity portable audio, often credited with shaping the modern perception of “Chi-Fi”—Chinese Hi-Fi—on the global stage.

The company operates its own R&D and manufacturing facilities in Chengdu, maintaining full control over its acoustic design, industrial design, firmware development, and quality assurance. This vertical integration enables Moondrop to quickly iterate on design concepts, adopt new technologies, and maintain consistent product quality across its diverse product lines.
